텔켈 — 있는 그대로Tel Quel — as it is
‘텔켈(Tel Quel)’은 프랑스어로 ‘있는 그대로’라는 뜻입니다.
촬영 대상이 가진 본래의 모습을 왜곡 없이, 가장 좋은 상태로 보여주는 것. 회사 이름에 담은 첫 번째 원칙입니다. 기업이든 사람이든 공간이든, 없는 것을 꾸며낸 영상은 결국 보는 사람이 알아챕니다. 우리는 대상 안에 이미 있는 강점을 찾아, 그것이 가장 잘 드러나는 각도로 화면에 옮깁니다. 지어낸 것은 오래 가지 않지만, 있는 그대로는 깊이 남습니다.
텔켈은 또한 1960년 파리에서 창간되어 1982년까지 이어진 전위 문학·평론지의 이름입니다. 고정된 중심과 정해진 진리를 의심한 해체주의가 태어난 자리이자, 문학의 형식을 근본부터 다시 쓴 지면이었습니다. 답을 미리 정해놓고 대상에 씌우지 않는 태도, 그리고 형식을 새로 짜는 태도 — 우리는 그 두 가지를 제작 원칙으로 씁니다.
기획부터 촬영, 연출, 편집까지 — 있는 그대로의 이야기를, 참신한 방식으로. 텔켈 미디어는 그 지점에서 감동과 완성도를 만듭니다.
“Tel Quel” is French for “as it is.”
Showing a subject as it actually is — undistorted, at its best. That is the first principle we put in the company name. A company, a person, a place: a film that invents what isn’t there is eventually seen through. We look for the strength already in the subject and find the angle where it shows most clearly. Invention fades quickly; what is real lands deep.
Tel Quel was also the name of a Paris avant-garde review, founded in 1960 and published until 1982 — the birthplace of deconstruction, and a page that rewrote the form of literature from the ground up. Arriving without a ready-made answer to impose on the subject, and being willing to rebuild the form: we work by both.
From planning through shooting, directing and the edit — the story as it is, told a new way. That is where Tel Quel Media makes both the feeling and the finish.
